HTI SeaPack Personal Desalination Kit

AnyWater AnyWhere

Most HTI hydration kits are designed to work with brackish water. The SeaPack Personal Desalination Kit is designed to work with sea water.

Powered by forward osmosis and HTI's revolutionary membrane technology, the SeaPack provides emergency hydration fluids from saltwater sources. Because the SeaPack utilizes a passive osmotic process, it is by far the easiest desalination technology available, even lending itself to one hand operation in case of injury.

HOW IT WORKS:

Osmosis is a natural process that involves the passage of water through a membrane due to osmotic pressure generated by a high concentration of dissolved solids on one side. The SeaPack uses sugar to create this osmotic pressure, and water is drawn through the filter to dilute the sugar while the salt molecules are blocked by HTI's membrane. In independent laboratory tests, the SeaPack filter meets or surpasses required reductions for bacteria, viruses, and cysts as specified by the EPA for water purifiers.

Boaters, aviators and flood victims in coastal areas will also benefit from the important calories the SeaPack delivers, which will be a source of energy boosting nutrients during an emergency survival situation.

The SeaPack boasts simplicity of operation; just inject one 4 oz. grape nutrient charge into the green port, and fill the red port with salt water. Nature takes over from there, osmotically drawing fresh water through the membrane while rejecting the salt molecules.

With 68ºF (20ºC) water, the SeaPack will product 17 fl. oz. (500 ml) in 5 hours, and may then be reused.
