I have a complete original 1970 Camaro 350 cu in V8 engine for sale. This engine was removed from a 1970 Camaro with 127,000 miles on it that was too rusty to safely drive anymore and has been sitting in my garage ever since. This was the last year of the 9.0:1 compression, and was rated at 250 HP @ 4800 RPM. Not sure if it is a 2 bolt or 4 bolt main, as I do not have a way to pick it up and pull the pan and look, but have been told it is probably a 2 bolt. It is not seized and will turn over with the crank bolt. It has a casting number of 3971004 and an engine code of T0706CNN indicating it was T-put together in Tonawanda, NY, 07-in the month of July, 06-on the sixth day of that month, CNN -says it was produced in 1970, is a 350 cu in 250 HP had a 2 barrel carb and a 350 turbo transmission and was used in the A, F and X body cars of that day. There is a partial VIN visible above the oil filter that you can see the N 84977 of the corresponding VIN of the car. The 1970 Camaro it was removed from was originally purchased by my sister on 10-22-70 from Vic Canever Chevrolet in Fenton, MI and I bought the car from her 4 years after that and drove it until the engine was removed. I still have the Protect-O-Plate for the car with the VIN. It always was a very strong running engine, never burned any oil and had the oil changed every 3 months or 3,000 miles. It even still has the original 2 barrell Rochester carb on it! I think that if you prepped this engine correctly, you could start it and it would run as is. If you are looking for a correct 350 V8 engine for your 70 Camaro, this is it! I am not sure what this is worth, so I am asking $424.99 or best offer. If you are interested, make an offer! I just might accept it or counter offer something you might accept. Local pick-up is the way I want to handle this, but I will assist you as I can if you want to make arrangements for it to be palleted and shipped to you. Engine is sold as is with no expressed or implied warranty, and is not returnable. Payment required within 3 days. If you have any questions, please ask. Thank you for looking. |
