For sale is a very rare special edition book that was supplied to the owner when purchasing a Mercedes McLaren SLR.

The book comes with a certificate that states: "This is a copy of the "Owners Edition" of the "Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren" book, an edition limited to 3,500 copies world wide. The Owners' Edition is supplied with the vehicle and is therefore only available to Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren owners."

This book measures 9-5/8" x 12-1/4" with 177 pages and weighs 4 lbs. not including the presentation box. It was printed in Germany in 2004 on premium gloss coated paper with many pages featuring a chrome metallic finish on one side, adding an effect not seen in most books and one that photography doesn't capture well.

The cover art is created through a combination of matte and gloss varnishes, as is the presentation box. 

The presentation box measures 14-1/2" x 16-1/2" x 2-1/4" and weighs about 4-1/2 lbs. empty.
