Return Policy
Merchandise purchased from Buy12volt.com may be returned
for a
refund or a replacement within 60 days from the date of purchase. An
RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number must be obtained from us.
Within 14 days after the RMA number is issued, the merchandise must be
in our possession.
Dead on Arrival (DOA)
Any claim on DOA must be made within 7days from the date
of receipt.
A return label may be emailed at our discretion. As soon as we have the
tracking information for the return, a replacement will be sent, or a
full refund will be applied. We may issue a discount coupon to be used
for next purchase.
Wrong Product Shipped
Right after an immediate investigation is completed
internally, a
return label for the wrong product may be emailed. As soon as we have
the tracking information for the return, a correct one will be shipped
using same method of shipping, or a full refund will be applied. We may
issue a discount coupon to be used for next purchase.
Refunds
Refunds are applied for the value of merchandise (not
including
shipping charges paid) to the same payment method at time of purchase
within 3 business days after receipt of the returned merchandise. A
full refund is applied if an order is cancelled before the shipment
leaves our warehouse. Except for DOA, Wrong Product Shipped and Damaged
Merchandise during transit by a carrier, our original ship cost will be
deducted for all returned merchandise carrying free shipping from the
refunds. A processing fee of 15% to the value of merchandise will be
deducted from the refunds for all returns - this fee may be waived at
our discretion if the returned merchandise is in original packaging
and/or resalable condition, or defective.
Defective Merchandise
Defective merchandise will be replaced free of charges.
Customers
are responsible for shipping the merchandise to us, while we take care
of cost to ship the replacement. If customers elect to receive a
refund, our Refunds policy applies.
Exchanges
If a customer wishes to change an order before shipment
leaves our
warehouse, this is considered to a cancellation of the order free of
charges, and a new order should be placed since we do not issue a store
credit. If a customer is returning a product to exchange for a
different one with equal or greater value, he/she simply pays for the
price difference - A processing fee of 15% may be charged if the
returned product is not in original package and/or resalable condition.
Damaged Merchandise
If merchandise is damaged by a shipping carrier, please
contact them
and/or us immediately upon receipt. As soon as our insurance claim is
approved, a replacement will be shipped, or a full refund is applied.
Return Shipping
Except for DOA, Wrong Product Shipped and Damaged
Merchandise during
transit by a carrier, customers are fully responsible for ship cost of
the returning merchandise -we do not cover or reimburse the ship cost
for any returns. It is recommended to have a proper insurance for the
returns. We will ship the replacement to you at our cost.
Replacement Terms
The replacement for defective merchandise will be
shipped within 3
business days after receipt of the returned merchandise. We do not send
the replacement until we receive and inspect them. In order to receive
the replacement right away, you may place a new order for the same
item, and we will issue a full refund for the defective product
(including ship cost paid), upon completion of our return process.
Return Exceptions
Although we are proud to offer the best returns policy
in the industry, some exceptions to the policy is unavoidable:
- Product not purchased from Buy12Volt.com to be
returned at your expense
- Product without a valid and readable serial number
- Product without original packaging, retail box,
manuals, cables, accessories, or any other item originally included in
the product
- Product that exhibits physical damage or abuse
For these returns, replacement cost may be charged on
top of 15% processing fee.
Warranty Policy
Although almost all brand new products carry
manufacturer's warranty, any defective product must be returned to us
unless it is specified otherwise. We will do our best to take care of
defective products for our customers even after the 60-day return
period is expired - a nominal processing fee may be charged.
International Returns
Although same policy applies to all products purchased
by
international/overseas customers, duties and taxes are problems for us
and customers in addition to high ship cost. We will work it out with
customers for each case. We have proven records of satisfied customers
in this matter even if we've encountered only a handful of these cases.
