This head has been cleaned up and magnafluxed and is free of cracks. Please check casting number to make sure this head will fit on your engine.

Online it says the head came off a1939-1952 gmc 228 or 1946-1952 270 engine 

Although it did not come stock on, it should also bolt up to a 1953-1955 248 and 1953-1963 270. However don't quote me on that it is up to you to make sure it will fit your engine before you buy it
