All compression ratios are estimated values, as stock compression ratios, bore size, cylinder head configuration and cam design all have an effect on your actual compression ration.  

As an example, the SPA Headgaskets are available in a range of thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 3.4 mm. 

0.5mm gasket – increases 1 point compression rate (9.0 to 10.0 for example)

3.4mm – reduces 1 point compression rate (9.0 to 8.0 for example)
