Description :

You are looking at the Chevy 327 / 210 HP engine from a 68 Camaro. This car was wrecked in 1972. The engine then made its way into a 55 Chevy for a few years before being pulled and stored. It does have a Dontov solid lift cam. We partially disassembled, the re-assembled this engine for inspection. Block is cast # 3914678 and cast date J47 (Oct 4, 67 for 68 Model year). This block is correct for 68 model year only and is correct for the following:

302 > 290 HP Camaro Z/28

327 > 210 / 250 / 275 / 325 HP Malibu, Camaro, Impala

327 > 300 / 350 HP Corvette

350 > 295 HP Camaro SS

Block is stamped with suffix code ME which is 327 / 210 HP Camaro with Power Glide. All 327 blocks were 2 bolt main. The crank is cast # 3911001 which is means it is a large journal cast crank. The heads are the low HP 3917293 castings with matching dates. They have 1.72 / 1.50 valves & 75.34 CC combustion chambers. Everything is dated correctly for an Oct to Dec 67 built car. The motor ran fine when the car was parked in 1978. This engine still turns over and would be a great core for rebuild. Still standard bore. Cylinders look great. Very little ridge. I think you could get away with a bearing and re-ring kit. You get what you see pictured. Will talk in person. Dave at 570-527-3450
