This charger is ideal for bulk charging 36 volt battery packs (wet,AGM or Gel) of about 80 amp hour (ah) and up, or as a floating charger (long term maintenance) for large 36 volt battery systems. This is a durable, aluminum cased unit. Typical applications include golf carts, smaller forklifts, scissor lifts, industrial carts and applications. They are excellent for use on deep cycle batteries. The charger is selectable for flooded or sealed lead acid battery types, is fused on the input and output sides, and has flanges for mounting. The JAC2036 features an auto-sensing universal input from 100 to 240 VAC, and is rated for a 100% duty cycle. This unit comes with the crowfoot type plug, which fits the older club car golf carts with the crowfoot type plug, 36-volts only. Replaces the older lester chargers. Additional connectors are available. A completely
automatic charger that is less than 1/3 the size and less than 1/3 the weight
of a conventional automatic charger. A
20-amp 36-volt or a 15-amp 48-volt are 8 “ x 7 ½” x 6 ½” (inches) and weights
13 pounds. The 20-amp 24-volt is 10” x 3 ½ x 6 ½ and weights 8 pounds. ·
Being solid state
this charger will charge a much more severely discharged battery than the
conventional automatic charger. Typically a conventional automatic charger will
not charge a 24-volt battery system with less than 15-volts, a 36-volt battery
system with less than 30-volts or a 48-volt battery system with less than
40-volts. This charger will charge a
24-volt battery that has less than 10-volts, a 36-volt battery system with less
than 15-volts and a 48-volt battery system with less than 20-volts, which will
prevent many calls from your customers when they have over discharged the
batteries. ·
After the
over-night charge this charger goes into a float mode that can stay on your
battery for months and will keep it charged but will not overcharge the
battery. By not letting the batteries
become completely discharged, you will not get, as much lead sulfur on the
plates of the battery and this will result in a longer battery life. This is NOT a trickle charge. Our charger
will only charge if your battery starts to draw 4-amps from the charger. ·
This charger is
auto sensing and is rated at 115/230 at 50 or 60 cycle. You do not have to
switch from one voltage to another. Just plug it in and it will work any where
in the world. · If the power goes off our
charger will start charging as soon as the power comes back on. ·
This being a
constant current charger, this charger will charge your battery about 15%
faster than a conventional automatic charger.

20-amp chargers we have a switch to switch from a flooded to a sealed battery. · We have a 14-hour timer on our
chargers. If your battery would have a shorted cell, our charger will not just continue
to charge but will shut off, you only need to turn the charger off and back on
again to start it charging again. You should check your batteries first to make
sure they are in good condition. · PC board has a baked-on epoxy
for moisture resistance. You can order any of the golf cart
connectors (EZGO, Club Car, Yamaha etc.)
on these chargers as well as any of the
Anderson connectors for scrubbers and Scissor lifts.
