Skunk2 is proud to introduce its all-new Alpha Series Connecting Rods, available for most popular Honda and Acura applications.
Alpha Series Rods are forged from select 4340 chromoly steel and feature a straight H-beam design, resulting in the ultimate strength-to-weight ratio. 4340 chromoly is one of the strongest materials available, however, not all 4340 chromoly is the same. As such, Skunk2 relies on extensive material testing and works closely with its foundry to produce high-quality rods at an affordable price. Comprehensive heat-treating, tempering, and shot-peening processes together ensure that each Alpha Series Rod remains consistent and strong. Finally, each rod is magna-fluxed to ensure integrity and that each process has been completed thoroughly and according to Skunk2s rigid specifications.
Skunk2s engineers spent nearly three years developing and testing its straight H-beam rod design. The results are one of the strongest beam configurations available, capable of handling more than 900 hp. Engineers made use of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to determine high-stress points and implemented features to reduce wear and increase strength. Skunk2s straight design distributes stress across a larger area when compared to tapered rods, providing additional support where necessary.
Alpha Series Rods are manufactured from two-piece forgings, resulting in optimal grain orientation along the rod cap for increased strength. By orienting the metals grain in the direction of stress along the rod cap, perpendicular to the stress exerted along the beam, strength is significantly increased. Skunk2s two-piece forgings provide a precision-tight fit between the rods cap and its beam without resorting to the brittle materials required by other processes.

Shipping
We ship daily through Fed Ex, UPS & USPS. In most cases the shipping details page will outline which method this item will be shipped by. Tracking information will be entered into Ebay for you to view under your order details page 24-48 hrs after the item has shipped. In some cases we may ship your item directly from the manufacturer. For time sensitive orders please contact us for faster shipping if needed. Packages ship with a signature required. If this is a problem please contact us. Domestic shipping rates include service within the Continental US (lower 48 states), where Fed Ex shipments are available. 'Free Shipping' is limited to the Continental US (lower 48 states) only. This does not include AK, HI, GU, VI, PR, PO Boxes, Military address/base, APO/FPO and Canada. Additional shipping charges apply to these areas. All of our items we sell are 100% brand new (unless noted) and include a manufacturer's warranty. Tier1 Motorsports offers the manufacturer's warranty ONLY. Please inspect your goods upon receipt. Orders ship Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Orders do not ship on weekends. With having a 30 day duration Ebay auction, sometimes the item inventory count may be incorrect due to walk in sales, web site orders and phone orders. We do everything in our power to have accurate item inventory counts on Ebay. If the item is on back order or out of stock at the time of your purchase we will send you an email and you will have the option to keep the order in or cancel it and receive a full refund. In some cases the image shown may not reflect actual product for the application listed. We some times use a "generic" photo. If you need to see an actual photo you can check the manufacturer's web site. Please read through the full description and contact us if you have any questions. Returns
Please contact us prior to returning an item or leaving negative feedback. A sales invoice must accompany ALL returns, warranties and cores. All merchandise MUST be returned in original packaging and in resalable condition. No refund on electrical items, special orders or items over 30 days old and no returns without an RMA (Returned Merchandise Authorization) #. Tier1 Motorsports offers the manufacturer's warranty ONLY. Items that have been installed on a vehicle, or which for other reasons cannot be resold as new, cannot be returned unless there is a problem with the product. A 20% restocking fee will be applied to all non-defective returns. Shipping charges are non-refundable and for orders with Free Shipping, the original shipping charges will also now apply.
