The 7-layer progressive, oiled cotton gauze Pro-GUARD 7 air filters are constructed from 100 percent polyurethane for long life and multiple cleaning cycles. The Pro-GUARD 7 air filter media is constructed using 5 layers of progressively finer medical grade cotton gauze, combined with 2 layers of non-woven synthetic polyester fabric with random porosity. The air intake is enclosed in a durable, powder coated black, 16-gauge top mounted heat shield that utilizes the lower half of the factory air box. aFe developed this heat shield to snap onto the top of the lower half of the factory air box to provide a trouble-free installation using the factory mounting locations.
