NOTE: Many are asking if kit comes welded. This is a kit. All the steel is bent and notched to plan. It needs to be welded. This allows costs to stay low and keeps shipping within reason.
I'm starting a new hobby of bending and notching 1" drift trike frames using the same bend schedule as the GermanRodz frame. "Like 'em on Facebook!!" Roy with GermanRodz has allowed me to sell as he has tooled up for 1.25" now and has no desire to drop back to the 1". I'm just using mild steel. Nothing great. But will hold a rider safely up to 225lbs without flexing the 1.25" axle. Recently discovered this weight limit will substantially increase if gussets are fabricated and welded in key locations. Kit DOES NOT INCLUDE gussets needed but I will include notes on this topic to the "how to assemble" sheets. This trike is pictured all over at the 1" pipe size. You can see exactly what finished build can look like. PMD Drift Trike "Cricket" is the style. Kit comes with main frame, side wings, cross tubes, and flex bar, axle flanges, engine plate, leg supports with foot peg bolt through square tubes I'm building them for 26" front wheel. Can be cut down to 20" front wheel with no real effort at all. Plans included will explain how. Most people cut the front head tube off a bicycle. The whole front end can be welded right on. If this is not your plan please let me know. I will include head tube. Frame comes sectioned for better shipping costs and includes easy sleeve type weld in bolts and nuts (1/2") for welding point strength. The flat fee balance will cover most eBay and PayPal fees. Customers I've talked with have purchase axle kits that come with bearing flangettes. I have a few so please let me know if you're planning a different route. I'll include those while my supply lasts. I've added a picture of a black and a green PMD frame that shows you the exact product welded together. !!!add thick PVC sleeves for an additional 40.00 - 3/4" thick x6"x10"ID!!! Thank you for your time and please ask any questions. CJ "Weld'r Up Drift Trikes" the do-it-yourself drift trike frame kit stop! |
