Up for grabs is another genuine piece of chopper history: CUSTOM PAINTED "SHE-WARRIOR" PEANUT CHOPPER TANK.
This is the ultimate shop/garage hanger conversation piece or a tank that will truly make that old school chopper build one of a kind!
CONDITION: Please look at all of the supersized pictures and use the zoom feature to make your own final judgement, I have tried to highlight the item from all angles. Here is the condition as I see it: - Tank is in overall good shape for its age and for being a survivor that was on somebody's old chopper. - Steel body is in excellent shape with no dings or dents. - Inside is clean and ready to be filled up and run. Factory coating is still intact and no signs of rust/issues that can be seen. - The paint has some chips and scratches that can be seen in pictures 1-12. In my opinion it has that perfect old chopper survivor tank patina that's not too beat up to run on a nice bike, but still tells a story no brand new paint job can. - The most major "flaw" in the paint that will be visible when mounted is are a small chip on the left side in the black area (should make it very easy to fix). See photos 3, 6, 7 for detail. - Also of note is a light scratch on the right side of the tank coming down from the bottom of the gold scalloped paint. See photo 5 for detail. - There is chipping of the paint around the rim of the filler hole (should be covered by any gas cap). See photos 11, 12 for detail. - The front mounting tabs are slightly tweaked and the paint has been chipped off (fairly typical for any tank has been mounted and unmounted multiple times). See photo 9 for detail. - The paint around the petcock on the tank bottom has been damaged by gas (a leaky petcock at some point) and is peeling. See photo 10 for detail. - No gas cap or petcocks are included.
FITMENT: - This is a standard Harley Davidson Sportster "Peanut" tank with the stock mounts for 1979-1981 Ironhead frames. - Please verify fitment on your end before purchase with your model year/frame, or that you are comfortable with custom fitting to your application. - I am more than happy to assist with measurements or additional pictures if needed.
