This listing includes a 50 amp rectifier for a Club Car battery charger, Model Number 22110 (PowerDrive2) This "Lightning Resistant" rectifier differs from the standard rectifier. The rectifier in this listing is rated at 50 Amps as opposed to the standard 35 Amp rating. The benefit of a
heavier duty rectifier is it's ability to tolerate power surges and
lightning strikes. A rectifier helps the charger "absorb the shock" of a
surge, and this rectifier performs much better in a situation such as
this. Nearly double the voltage capacity to be exact. The standard
rectifier is 35Amp/400 Surge Volts, the one in this kit is 50Amp/600Volts. Charging performance
will not differ with either kit but it will be far more tolerant of unpleasant weather. This is actually the standard replacement part from Club Car for these chargers now. The 35 Amp rectifier is no longer available at a dealer. This is because the larger capacity rectifier works so much better. SYMPTOM OF A BAD RECTIFIER: When the charger cord is inserted into the receptacle on the vehicle there should be a 2-10 second delay before the charger turns on. When the charger turns on the ammeter will rise and the charger will begin charging. If the rectifier is bad the ammeter may fluctuate rapidly or even go backwards below zero momentarily until the circuit breaker on the front of the charger trips and all power is lost to the charger. This is the result of an internal short in the rectifier. If this is your symptom, this is your item. Check my other listings if you have other symptoms. My components vary from others found on ebay for one simple reason...
They're the exact same parts that were used by Lester Electronics when
they built these chargers. Please be aware that with electronics there
are many "shortcuts" people tend to take to save money, such as selling
cheaper parts that will perform the same tasks as the original parts,
for a little while at least. The parts in my kit have been proven many
times to out-last many of the cheaper "Budget" parts for lack of better
description. Believe me I know, I've tried them.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Installation: Installation is extremely easy. Un-Plug cords from wall and cart. Remove the screws from the charger cover. Remove charger cover. Remove the rectifier. All you will need is a Phillips screwdriver. Apply Thermal Paste to rectifier and install as shown in the provided diagram. Re-install cover. Test charger. If it doesn't work. Let me know. We'll figure it out together.Compatibility: This rectifier will fit ALL PowerDrive2 chargers. All PowerDrive2 chargers have the model number of #22110 as shown in the photograph above. My Goal To make sure that the customer is happy with the product that I provide. I list each and every item 100% accurately and I'm always certain to add any compatibility details in all of my listings that the customer may need to know. I do not sell cheap parts.
The only parts I sell for these chargers are the same parts that you
would find installed in them from the factory. There are lots of other
sellers on EBAY selling these items at a lesser price, but please remember, you get what you pay for! Do not cut corners with electronics. Payment · PayPal is the only method of payment that I accept. Shipping · All
items are shipped via USPS First Class Mail unless they are over the weight limit. In this situation, either USPS Priority Mail or UPS/Fedex ground may be used. · Expedited shipping is available. Details can be seen on this listing. Returns
