This is an OEM Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) taken off a 2001 Ford ZX2 (Escort Coupe) with a 2.0L MFI DOHC engine. The ZX2 in particular tends to have erratic and or very low idle sometimes making the vehicle stall mostly in the automatic transmission ZX2s, this part fixed idle problems in my 01 5-speed. I replaced the IAC in my ZX2 with one from a salvage yard, the yard had about 10 different ZX2s so I grabbed an extra to be sure one worked and am now passing it on to help out. I have tried both and they were working great, both taken from cars with around 100k mi. The ZX2s bad idle can also be from a clogged PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve or less likely a EGR (emissions gas recirculation) valve. At autozone(.com) an IAC is about $110, EGR about $60, and didn't find PCV. If anyone has any questions about their ZX2 Id be happy to share my knowledge. Standard or Priority shipping through USPS as well as FedEx or UPS ground home delivery options available for those that cant get USPS at home. Full IAC compatibility list as follows.
