Up for auction
is a used Standard Horizon Wind Instrument WS150. This is a complete wind instrument
system. The unit is in excellent working
condition and has been thoroughly tested by a marine electronic
technician. The display works perfectly
but the housing has a little sun damage (see photo). Includes sun cover, masthead transducer and approx. 100-ft
of cable with masthead junction box.
The Standard Horizon Wind Instrument WS150 sends NMEA 0183 data to your autopilot for wind direction and receives NMEA 0183 data for the through-the-water speed to read true wind speed and direction. This instrument measures 4.25” square. Has NMEA output that can be connected to the RP150 NMEA repeater for dual station operation off one transducer. NMEA output can also be connected to any STANDARD HORIZON GPS to show wind speed and direction on the plotter display. It can also be connected to an Autopilot that reads NMEA 0183 to steer to wind direction. It has NMEA0183 input that can take thru the water speed to show true Wind speed and direction.
FEATURES WS150 WIND SPEED – shows digital display of apparent wind speed and direction. As an additional aid there is a digital representation of an analog dial showing the wind direction relative to a 360-degree reference. The WS150 also features a user settable "maximum wind gust" alarm. The transducer is a low mass with a long boom to minimize the effects of wind turbulence. DISPLAY – features a high contrast LCD display with big digits that are easy to read in any light condition. A rugged non-corrosive case features a curved lens that reduces glare. Backlighting optimizes night viewing. INSTALLATION – no need for special tools to install. The WS150 flush mounts for custom looking installations. The case protrudes less than 1 inch from the bulkhead and only 1-inch into the surface. Of course, the WS150 instrument outputs reliable NMEA data, for interface with repeaters and other electronics.
