These Day Running Lights for Smart, are a project of excellent quality,construction and look. 

Original Mercedes plastic covers,are cut with C.N.C. equipment,to create the holes and seats,for the five L.E.D. holders. 

The 35 mm  L.E.D. holders are made of black polyamide,preciselly fabricated.

The 30mm lenses ,C.N.C. cut and polished, are made from hard clear acrylic,resistant to scratches and chemicals. 

The collimators are made of chrome plated steel. 

They utilise high quality 10mm L.E.Ds, with 100.000 hours life expectancy. 

In the back,two preciselly C.N.C. cut polyethylene parts,sandwich the epoxy P.C.B. with the electronics.

These adjust the current to the L.E.Ds for Day and Night operation, and do the intelligent switching between these two modes.

Even when power is existent on the day operation wire, they switch to night mode, when the night mode wire is powered.

The back cover is made of Laser cut aluminum , anodized black.

The construction is water resistant. 

Operating voltage 10-15Volt D.C. with reverse polarity protection. 

The current draw of each light,is 400mA in day operation and 25mA in night operation.
