As the gases exit the exhaust quicker, exhaust scavenging is improved, which in turn leads to lower intake temperatures. Cool-It Exhaust Insulation Wrap can withstand continuous temperatures of up to 800 degrees C and will not over insulate when properly installed. Cool-Its Copper Exhaust Wrap improves even further by offering up to 30 percent more heat resistance thanks to a new copper coating that conducts the heat across the wraps surface.

How much wrap do you need?

Depends on how far down you want to wrap your pipes but...
Motorcycles with 2 pipes need about 25-50 feet of wrap
Motorcycles with a 4cyl engine need about 50 feet of wrap
4 cylinder applications need about 50 feet of wrap
V6 and V8 applications need about 100 feet of wrap
