Furuno Navnet VX2 17" Black Box Radar/Chartplt System 1964CBB 25kw 4' Open Array
DescriptionThis Furuno 1964cbb Navnet VX2 radar system is in good used condition. This is the radar system to find birds, it is difficult to compare to anything else out there, perhaps with the exception of the Furuno UHD 25kw pedestal. It is a 25kw, 72 mile, 4 foot open array radar system. Not including the monitor, this system sold for over $10,000 new. The unit uses C-Map NT MAX SD Cards, none are included. We have upgraded it to the latest C-Map software version for optimal performance. The radar picks up targets very well, both near and far. The VX2 black box shares the same user interface as the normal VX2 units but allows for a larger screen to be used. The screen we are including is a Big Bay sunlight view-able display. Included in this auction is: -1964CBB Processor - RPU-015 -Power Cable for Processor -RCU-017 Control Keypad -Interconnect Cable from Processor to Keypad -Big Bay Sunlight View-able Display (fully dim-able, was actually on Max's personal boat for a couple years) -Power Cable for Display -5' Long VGA Cable to go from Processor to Display -RSB-0072-061 25kw Open Array w/4' Array -15 meter Interconnect Cable from Pedestal to Power Supply -PSU-008 Radar Power Supply -5 meter Interconnect Cable from Power Supply to RPU-015 -GP-320B GPS antenna with 30' cable, uncut As you can see, the system is fully functional - picks up targets well. The inside of the array looks great. The base of the pedestal has some paint bubble and paint flake as is the case with the majority of Furuno radars, however, this has no effect on functionality or longevity and is really confined to the lower areas of the radar. All sealing grommets, cover plates, etc. for the dome are included. The display's black paint is a little matted out, the anti-glare has a couple imperfections, there are some spots in the corners where the backlight diffuser has started to degrade and you have "light spots" and there is silicone residue on it, but for what it is, it should work great - it did for Max. Chart card is not included but card reader and GPS port have been tested, we uploaded the latest software onto the unit for the best possible performance. Sounder is not included but can be added for a nominal cost (around $200 plus transducer for the ETR 6/10) This is a full radar/GPS package that needs nothing but a boat to put it on. The system as a whole is in great working condition. Shipping will be FREE in the CONUS via Fedex Ground and $225 to AK, HI, or other US territories via USPS Priority Mail. International bidders please message me for a shipping quote prior to bidding. Thanks for looking! Furuno's got a lot of good things to say about this radar on their website:

International ShippingWe ship most of our smaller International orders via USPS International First Class Parcel to keep shipping costs down for our customers. This service takes an average of 2 weeks, but may take longer. We ask that our customers allow up to 6 weeks for delivery. We would like our customers be prepared for a 6 week ship time or have the opportunity to request an expedited shipping method. Additionally, USPS International First Class does not offer tracking throughout the entire shipping process. Packages may be scanned once in the United States and not scanned again until they are delivered, or may not be scanned at all. The service is reliable, it just is not as fast and traceable as other more expensive methods. If expedited shipping is needed please contact our customer service via telephone, email or eBay messaging prior to or immediately following order placement, as we do ship most orders within one business day.
The ProcessOur items are obtained through our partnerships with marine electronics installers, boatyards, marinas, and boat owners. When they arrive at our facility, they are put in a holding area to be evaluated and listed to our eBay store. Each individual item is tested on a live test setup that emulates a normal installation on a vessel. This is done to be sure that the unit not only powers on, but that all of the accessory ports function properly. During this testing process, software updates are performed, any issues we find are addressed by our repair team. Once testing is complete, photos of the actual unit in operation are taken, then unit goes on to our listing department to be listed to our eBay store. In the event that we are unable to test an item, we make this absolutely clear in our listing as to not mislead our buyers.
