Main Bearing Line Bore Unit

This line bore unit is a rigid 4 bearing frame designed to attach to the pan rails of models T/A+B 4 cylinder ford engines, it will provide a means of accurately boring the main bearings to any desired diameter and cutting the thrust flanges and clearance radii.

Correct positioning of the frame is achieved with the locator brackets, false camshaft and bushing set provided.

The frame rails are drilled with 4 thru holes to correspond with the bolt pattern of model A/B 4 cylinder engines, and 4 drilled and tapped holes are provided with 4 studs to accommodate mounting on the model T engine.

2 boring bits of special design are provided to allow a boring range of 1.050” thru 1.750” diameters.

Boring bits are ground to provide a slight resistance to feed motion, while producing a clean smooth cut.  Boring bar is powered by your ½” drill motor.

Boring bits are accurately adjusted to cut any desired diameter bearing by means of a fine adjustment screw and dial indicator toolset fixture provided with the unit.

Thrust flanges and clearance radii are cut with the combination radius/facing bit and stop ring provided.

An illustrated 4 page instruction sheet, and my telephone or e-mail support is provided.
