The bonnet listed here is from the E-Type shown next to it. When I bought the 1973 E-Type Open Two Seater/ Roadster the bonnet came with the purchase. It is the original bonnet to the E-Type shown and I believe the crash damage on the left front wing precipitated the the previous owners plan for a restoration. I will never know for sure because the previous owner passed away and I bought the project from his widow. The E-Type project was halted halfway through after the paintwork and much other work was done. Luckily, he kept the original bonnet and I am now offering it as an economical way to obtain a bonnet for a Series III. The entire vehicle has never rusted and aside from the left wing/fender damage, this bonnet, even being partly damaged, is a great rust free example to use. It looks like a bonnet from a car thats five years old. Of course the fact that it sat in storage for decades helps. As you can see, the bonnet has damage on the left wing and a small amount of massaging is also needed to the sheet metal adjacent to it. As you can see the headlamp housing sheet metal was also removed. At the edge of the bonnet where it meets the firewall there will be a little straightening needed as a result of careless handling.
Incidentally, the E-Type itself could possibly be sold. Please inquire for details.
The bonnet can be crated here in Detroit and shipped for a fee. Those charges will be separate from the initial purchase. Contact me for details on that.

Thank you for looking and I hope this will go on your treasured E-Type soon!
