You are bidding on the 40hp MERCURY-FORCE outboard boat motor that you see in the pics below. This nice, clean motor starts right up and runs great. This low hour motor is in excellent shape and all original with no welds, damage, repairs or repainting. The motor is extremely clean and in excellent shape overall. All of the original paint and decals look very nice with no fading and shine like new. There are a few chips/scratches etc. from handling but very minimal. As you can see under the hood is super clean. The lower skeg is in great condition with only some paint wear. The prop is in like new condition and included in the sale. This motor runs very well, starts right up, idles nice low and smooth, throttles up with no hesitation, has great power and pumps cooling water well. The compression checked out perfect at 140psi on both cylinders, so you know it does not have a lot of run time on it. The motor shifts from into forward neutral and reverse smoothly as well. This is a Wisconsin motor so has never been used in salt water and only seen short summers. The motor is a long shaft (made for a boat with a 20" transom) remote operated, 2-stroke, 2-cylinder with electric start and power tilt. The power tilt works very well and does not droop. The winner of the auction will be very pleased with this nice, smooth running outboard as it looks, operates, and functions just how you would want it to. I offer this outboard on a 10 DAY - NO RESERVE auction. As this motor is used I do sell it AS-IS, but please know that I go through all of the motors I sell very closely and take care of any issues that I find before they leave. If picking the motor up locally I would be happy to start and run it for you at that time.

This auction is for the motor only. There are no controls or cables included. I do have a set of concealed side mount with cables and harness for $215. There is no fuel tank or line included in the sale. I do have one available to the winning bidder for $55. The state of Wisconsin does not register or title outboard motors, therefore this motor does not have a title. I can issue a bill of sale with the motor which is all you would need to obtain a new one should your state require titles. 5.5% WI sales tax applies to anyone picking up locally. I accept PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. Cash on local pickup is fine as well.
