But there's far more to this cold air intake system than just the intake tube! It also comes with a durable 18-gauge powder-coated one-piece heat shield that will block engine heat. The heat shield doesn't require any assembly and it'll mount in the stock mounting locations. What's more is the system also includes an 8" tall Pro 5R pre-oiled inverted conical top 360-degree radial flow performance air filter that has 5 layers of progressive finer mesh cotton media for maximum performance. The filter is also washable and reusable, which is definitely a huge benefit later on down the road! The 3-angle filter adaptor will also increase air velocity after the air filter for even better performance and throttle response.
