1937 Cord Model 812 Supercharger Assembly

This is the incredibly rare Schwitzer-Cummins Supercharger assembly for a 1937 Cord Model 812 automobile.  These units are virtually impossible to find as most are installed on complete 1936-1937 Cord Supercharged automobiles.  Included in this auction will also be the rare Stromberg AA-25 and the factory Autolite dual point distributor.  These superchargers were only available as a production option in 1937 however, many have been fitted on 1936 Cord models successfully starting immediately in 1937 by the factory due to their immense popularity after introduction.  

This is an excellent specimen that includes almost every component necessary to build a proper supercharged driveline or to upgrade the standard naturally aspirated version found on all models over their two year production in 1936 and 1937.  It is being sold on behalf of a fifty-year vintage car collector and lifelong Auburn Cord and Duesenberg enthusiast from his personal parts collection.  It is ready to be serviced prior to installation and is cosmetically in concours condition for show purposes if that is your ultimate goal.  At the appropriate time, I will be happy to introduce you to several Cord experts who specialize in the parts, service and set up of these units.

✔️ Cam driven ring and pinion and steel drive cup assembly

✔️ Supercharged aluminum timing chain cover

✔️ Specimen timing chain and gear set

Additional parts necessary for a supercharged installation that are included:

✔️ Stromberg AA-25 GM spec carburetor. The AA-25 was the only proper carburetor used by Cord on a supercharged automobile.  

✔️ Autolite dual point distributor with distributor cap
