Up for auction today is a chevy 327 (built in August of 66, so could have been in a 66 or likely a 67 model year) standard bore, small journal, block casting # 3892657, pad# V0802HA. 4577 crank (will need turned, appears to have had a rod bearing starting to go.) piston #s 3795704 (flat top with 4 reliefs.) 461 casting heads (double hump, non accessory hole 1.94/1.5s.) Obviously this isn't a turn key motor you can hear run, but from what I can tell it's a standard bore block that appears to have non scored cylinder walls in close enough tolerance to get away with honing to clean the surface rust from the cylinder walls, re-ring, and assemble after the crank is machined, HOWEVER I'm a hobbyist car guy not a professional engine builder and it's my recommendation that for the best outcome ANY used engine should be professionally cleaned and inspected prior to assembly. Motor is located in Columbia Station, Ohio. Local pickup, or I can build a custom crate and strap it down for and additional $75 and have waiting for your shipper to pick up if you make your own shipping arrangements (will require lift gate service, as I currently do not have a fork lift on site.) This is a no reserve auction so to bid to buy. Also for sale locally so I reserve the auction to end the listing at any time if someone shows up at my door with cash. If you have any questions or would like any additional pictures just ask. |
