A. The marine grade socket  #S:

This is a marine quality female locking socket intended for outdoor mobile use in extreme weather and harsh applications. The socket is marine grade and is waterproof and UV resistant. The contacts are nickel plated brass and the socket body is heavy nylon. The socket is self bailing and will keep the interior dry in case of moisture intrusion. The socket is vibration resistant because it is a locking socket. The socket contains a deep vinyl opening cap. The socket is rated for 15 amps at 12 volts. Draws no power when not in use, so it can't run down your battery.

This locking socket will work with any standard cigarette lighter plug or lockable marine plug. A locking plug looks like a regular male lighter plug but when twisted in this socket can not be pulled out easily, unless twisted again. It is weather resistant and vibration proof.

B. The commercial grade socket    #CK:

This is an industrial quality socket that is ideal for indoor or outdoor use. It is weather resistant and has a UV nylon body.  The vinyl cap is an oversized extreme weather tight fitting cap The contacts are nickel plated steel.  The socket works with all 12 volt style plugs. It is rated at 120 watts or 15 amps. Draws no power when not in use.

Both sockets  require an 1 1/8" hole for mounting and has .250 quick spade type male connectors. It can be mounted against a panel with the retaining nut on panels up to 1-1/4" thick.

 -Add an extreme weatherproof socket cap / lid/ cover for harsh weather or high vibration conditions for the marine grade socket only. Marine grade socket only, not commercial grade socket.
