These 427 valve covers are manufactured for the specialty race / restoration market.
The pent roof valve covers have stainless steel socket head cap screws raised to the top of the valve covers for extra clearance, built in oil baffle plates to keep the rockers from throwing oil out of the engine when billet caps are off, and/or other accessories such as PCV valve or breather are chosen. The valve covers have been Blanchard Ground, so they're absolutely flat. They are also shot peened with stainless steel for a natural aluminum finish that wipes clean from oil, and will not rust. You will notice two bumps inside the valve cover, those bumps are to accommodate valve cover clips (if so desired). This is the definition of premium in every respect!
