This sale is for a NEW Take Off complete Lower Unit with a long driveshaft for Mercury or Mariner outboard engines.

This Lower Unit was taken off a new engine and was replaced with a jet drive unit. It is a brand new take off and may have some minor chips in the paint and some general shelf wear. This Lower Unit has never been in the water.

The Mercury part number is 1600-888845T08 for the complete lower unit.  
The drive shaft part number is 45-897679T01.  
The casting number on the case is 1600-888845-C.

The drive shaft measures 26 inches from the case (base of the water pump housing) to the tip.  This is the long shaft commonly known as a "20 inch shaft".
The prop shaft has 15 splines.  
The driveshaft has 20 splines
The gear ratio is 2.33:1.
