This display works but has some cosmetic issues. The biggest one is a single line of pixels in the screen is not working correctly. This is more apparent in some modes than in others. In the chart mode it's not too noticeable at all. In the sounder and radar modes it stands out. 

Otherwise this unit just has the typical NSE problems that almost all of them have...the bonded LCD is de-laminating around the edges and making the backlight even brighter than normal in the lower right corner. The video socket collar is broken (pins intact). 

If you're looking for a cheap replacement or second station, this would be great. You can mount it in a bridge or tower and not have to worry too much about it getting weathered or beat up since it's already not a showpiece and you won't have a crazy amount of money into it.

We tested the ethernet and Simnet ports, and all appears operational. The screen shots show it working with a radar and a Simnet GPS for demonstration. These items are NOT included! We updated it to the latest version 4 software and are selling the unit as operationally sound and ready to use with 60 day warranty.

The NSE has the super nice built in "Insight charts" and a very bright screen. Overall it's not a bad display for the money you can win this auction with! Keep in mind there are other NSE12 units listed here for $800, and up, and those all have the same de-lamination problems as well. If you can live with the line in this one's screen, you can get a much better deal here!
