New from Agency Power for the Porsche 997.2 Turbo S are these cat bypass pipes, dubbed "The Sleeper Race Pipes". Designed for the 2010-2013 Porsche 997 Turbo DFI, this kit is designed to replace your cat pipes only and maintain the stock muffler. The all stainless steel pipe kit features a valvetronic remote activated valve that opens up to dump straight out of the Turbo or stay closed to go through the muffler and add a little tone to the car. Because this just replaces the factory catpipe, you still gain quiet a bit of power from the reduced backpressor and even more with the straight dump to the ground.
Dyno tested on a 2011 Porsche Turbo S, we compared the Sleeper Pipes to the car with just the flash and stock cats. These pipes give a TON more torque on the low end. The mid range keeps a nice gain and the mid-top is about a consistant 5-10hp. However at redline it makes the same. You can tell by the video that it is definitely dumping to atmosphere when open. The lack of top end power is related to the ECU flash, as the tuning already maximizes that RPM range. With the removal of the stock cats, you will need a proper ECU flash that raises the secondary O2 limits to not cause a check engine light.
The kit includes the Valvetronic parts to be installed on the car. The remote key fobs use a transmitter that can be mounted under the hood or near the ECU. Because they open and close based on vacuum, you can tie into any pressure source on the vehicle. This product fits all 2010-2012 Porsche 997 Turbo and Turbo S vehicles. Made in the USA.
