Additional Parts Requiring Replacement for Warranty

Accumulator or Drier - The accumulator or drier must be replaced with the compressor.  The drier may be either attached to the condenser or part of the condenser.

Orifice Tube - The orifice tube must be replaced with the compressor. If equipped.  Some orifice tubes are an integral part of the liquid line and therefore the liquid line must also be replaced.

Liquid Line - If this vehicle is equipped with a liquid line. The orifice tube is located inside the liquid line. When trying to replacing the orifice tube it may break apart inside the line or you may not be able to remove it. If this happens you will need to replace the complete liquid line (A new liquid line will come with the orifice tube already installed) or use a captive orifice tube repair kit. The orifice tube repair kit comes with an aluminum tube (Including orifice tube) that is spliced onto the original liquid line.

Inline Screen Filter - If this vehicle is equipped with an inline screen filter which must be replaced with the compressor.

Condenser - If this vehicle is equipped with a parallel flow design condenser, this type of condenser can not be properly flushed and must be replaced. Not replacing the condenser could lead to failure of your new compressor. Most mechanics are not up to date on their A/C training and will  not know this condenser can not be properly flushed.

Expansion Valve - If this vehicle is equipped with an expansion valve and you had a major compressor failure (Compressor locked up, Clutch burnt or shaft  seal blowout) you could  have debris in the system.

Note: Failure to replace the above parts will void your warranty.

Don't Forget To Have Your System Flushed!!

When replacing any of the parts in the A/C system the system should be completely flushed. When a part fails (especially the compressor), sludge, debris and possibly metal shavings may be present in the system. Failure to flush the system will introduce the debris into your new parts and shorten the life of the parts dramatically. Failure to have your system flushed will void your compressor warranty.
