Vintage Mikuni BS (CV) Carburetor, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, etc

For sale is a vintage Mikuni carburetor.  I believe this is a BS (CV) type carb that would have been used on Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, etc. motorcycles…though do your own research to be sure.

The number 31622 and L633 is stamped on the carb body and the butterfly valve and slide is not frozen. 

I recently bought this and many other parts that had been stored in a barn for many years and I know nothing about this brand of carburetor.  The carburetor looks to be in pretty good shape.  I have not taken this carburetor apart at all so what you see in the photos is what you get and this carburetor is being sold as is.  The buyer should assume this carburetor will need to be rebuilt.
