The Garmin K10-00012-13 is 4-foot open array radar with pedestal. It features MotionScope™ technology that uses the doppler effect to detect and highlight moving targets which helps to avoid collisions, find flocks of birds and track weather. 

It also uses pulse compression technology that gives high resolution while increasing energy in order to enhance detection and identification of targets. 

The radar uses pulse expansion setting that maximizes target sizes which helps to differentiate real targets from noise. The radar gives its data overlay onto charts and has a detection range of 20 feet to 72 nautical miles.
