This is an original 1969 427 4 bolt main Big Block Chevy engine block. The casting number of the block is 3955270 The casting date is I 25 8 which decodes at September 25th, 1968. The front pad is blank as shown. This block has no VIN number stamped on it anywhere!

This block is in very good condition as shown. It is bored .030 over standard.  The cylinders look quite nice with no sleeves or repairs. They have light corrosion/staining as shown. Many would run the block as is  and others  would bore for a flawless finish. The bores will clean up to mint at no more than .060 over. The only repairs I see on this block are a few professionally install thread inserts in the head bolt mounting threads. The main caps are original to this block and are in very good shape. This is a very nice original 69 427 4 bolt main block.

I will be happy to palletize this engine at a cost of $20 which is what it will cost for the straps and pallet. I will also drop this engine off at any shipping terminal within 45 miles of Santa Cruz, CA free of charge. Shipping arrangements and payment are the responsibility of the buyer. Most of my customers end up using YRC freight which used to be Roadway Express and Yellow Freight. Other customers have had luck with freightquote.com. The weight of the block when palletized will be about 200 pounds.
