Up for sale is a complete, air-cleaner-to-pan, 1964 365hp 426 Street Wedge motor.  Quite rare to find in any condition, this one is exceptional in its completeness, correctness, and condition.

This engine was removed from an uber-rare 1964 Dodge D100 CSS/HPP truck; I purchased the engine from a neighbor of the original owner of the truck.  It was purchased new in Denver, Colorado - please see the last photo for the original factory engine tag off of the truck, which is included with sale.  2159308 designates 426 street wedge.

Block is a correct 2406730 casting, dated 11-7-63.  Also happens to be the same casting as an early '64 Max Wedge block, the only differences being the machining and pad stampings.  Block is stamped V 42, 11 19 HP.

All components on the engine are original and correct to the '64 street wedge, down to the carburetor return springs.  Manifolds, waterpump housing, water neck, carb, distributor, brackets, tins, pulleys, etc.

Carb is a Carter AFB 3611S, dated December 1963.

Alternator is a 2098830 dated 48th week of '63.

Distributor - original Presotlite 2444247 tach-drive model.

Starter - not pictured - 2095150, also dated 48th week of '63

The signature street wedge chrome air cleaner and valve covers are present and in very good shape as well - I cleaned them up a touch for the pictures.

Engine is free from any serious corrosion.  Turns over smoothly.  I was told that it ran when pulled approximately 9 years ago, and that it has never been apart, but I can't verify either of those things.  I can speculate by the originality of all the components (original starter!?) that the block is std, but that is just a guess.

The only issue I can see with the engine is that the passenger's side exhaust manifold is cracked.  And, obviously, the oil pan, pickup, and fan clutch appear to be truck-specific, so, if you plan to install in a passenger vehicle, you'll need to change those items out.

This engine is being sold as-is, as a core, for rebuilding.
