This is a new and unpainted Velvet Drive marine transmission. Model 10-18-106, series 72C, ratio 1.88:1. In stock and ready to ship. Sold by an official Velvet Drive distributor. Set up for standard-rotation (automotive-rotation) engines. Pump can be rotated to go behind non-standard-rotation. Unlike other models, the 1.88:1 has output opposite input rotation (same as the discontinued 1.91:1 model).

Important Guidelines
To improve transmission longevity and to preserve the factory warranty, please follow these guidelines when purchasing, installing, and running a new transmission:

• If your old oil cooler is worn, corroded, over 5 years old, or you had water mixed in with oil previously, please replace it or have it professionally-flushed and inspected.
• If your damper plate is old or worn, has any visible cracks or damage, or has loose springs (for spring type dampers), please replace it. If you're changing from a Volvo MS-series transmission to a ZF, you'll also need to switch from the original spring type to a Centa bushing type damper.
• Change your transmission fluid regularly following your factory owner's manual guidelines. Never go more than a year between oil changes.
• On transmissions with an oil filter, replace it as needed following your factory owner's manual guidelines.

This item has a 1 Year Pleasure, 6 Month Commercial warranty covering any manufacturer defects. Defective items are generally replaced within a few business days, plus time in transit, and there will never be any extra cost to you.
