This water pump is a take off from a 1970 LT-1 Corvette undergoing complete restoration. The Corvette had been sitting in dry storage with this water pump  for over 22 years. 

The pump  was not leaking coolant at the time of removal. There is some corrosion within the housing that is causing a scraping noise in the pump when the hub is turned. It does turn through 360 degrees with only a very slight hang up.  The hub bearing feels good.  This pump is an ideal date coded core suitable for rebuilding.
