Frank Crash Auto Wrecking Warranty Policies

Frank Crash Auto Wrecking is dedicated to ensuring that we offer quality used auto parts to both individual and business customers.  We strive to purchase, test, dismantle and clean each product that we sell to the best of our ability.  We want to ensure your satisfaction with our parts and products.  However, if a problem should occur the following procedures shall apply.

General Warranty Policy  (APPLIES TO ALL PART PURCHASES)

1. Warranty is void without this invoice. All claimants under any warranty must provide the original purchase invoice and any other information that Frank Crash Auto Wrecking may reasonably request. 

2. This warranty is not transferrable.
3. No warranty on labor under any circumstances.
4. All sales are final.  Our parts will not be used for diagnostic or testing purposes. 
5. No returns on unneeded parts.
6. Deposits are non-refundable.
7. All refunds or core charges will be in the form of original payment.
8. No cores accepted after 30 days.
9. No returns on special ordered items.
10. Frank Crash Auto Wrecking does NOT assume any responsibility for customer ordering, buying, or installing incorrect parts due to customer giving incorrect year, make and/or model of vehicle or incorrect diagnosis of problem with vehicle.
11. If part is specified as “SOLD AS IS, NO WARRANTY” This warranty is void.  This supersedes all warranties expressly written or implied.
12. Frank Crash Auto Wrecking reserves the right at its option to replace or repair the part before issuing a refund.  Frank Crash Auto Wrecking at its option may replace the parts, repair the parts or refund the original purchase price.
13. All sheet metal, glass, and body parts are sold as is.
14. Parts that are disassembled by customer will have no warranty and cannot be returned.
15. Warranty does not apply to any part installed or used: in a vehicle that is used for racing, competition, commercial or fleet use, off-road purposes, or under conditions that would cause greater than normal wear or in an application or for a purpose for which such part was not intended by the manufacturer.
16. Improper installation will void warranty.
17. Frank Crash Auto Wrecking does not assume responsibility for towing charges, loss due to downtime, cost of lodging, cost of vehicle use, transportation, car or truck rental, or inconvenience.
18. Buyer affirms that before he/she has entered into this agreement, Frank Crash Auto Wrecking requested that buyer examine the parts or merchandise, to ascertain whether there were defects therein; that Frank Crash Auto Wrecking afforded to buyer an adequate opportunity to make such examination before the buyer entered into this agreement and that the buyer has examined the goods fully as they desire for the purpose of determining whether there are defects.

Electrical Warranty Policy

1. Electrical parts may be exchanged only.  Refunds will not be allowed.
2. Electrical parts sold are not guaranteed to solve your electrical problem.  No returns on electrical parts, replacement only on defective electrical parts.  We accept no responsibility for improper diagnosis or installation.

Transmission Warranty Policy

1. Transmissions that do not perform properly must be diagnosed by a Frank Crash Auto Wrecking approved transmission specialist before they are removed from the vehicle, warranty work is performed or a refund is made. 
2. Transmission cooling systems must be flushed to meet OEM requirements.  Related filters, seals, oil or fluid must be replaced with OEM equivalent upon installation.
3. Proper oil levels must be maintained at all times for warranty to be valid.
4. A broken front pump due to improper installation is not covered.

Engine Warranty Policy

1. All engines are warranted against cracked blocks or heads, bad cam or crank shaft, excessive smoking.
2. Engines are left as complete as possible for the convenience of the installer.  This warranty does not cover attached items accessories such as (but not limited to) water pump, fuel pump, carburetor, distributor, computers, etc.
3. The used engine you have purchased must have new oil and filter installed upon installation and every 90 days or 3000 miles thereafter.
4. Proper oil levels must be maintained at all times for warranty to be valid.
5. Warranty is void if heat tabs are melted or removed.
6. Defective engines must remain installed until an authorized Frank Crash Auto Wrecking representative confirms defect.

Shipping charges for delivery of your part are non-refundable and return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. Calling before buying will assure you get the correct part the first time!

Please understand that the part that you are looking at is used. All of our parts unless otherwise stated are recycled and come from used and salvaged vehicles. Our parts have been inspected first for working condition and also for cosmetic appearance. This part may show some signs of wear relevant to age and usage and we will disclose if there is any significant damage or abnormal wear. 

ALSO NOTE: 
Our parts come from vehicles from Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York where we use road salt in the winter.  Some of our parts (engines, transmissions, etc.) will show outer signs of corrosion that will in no way affect the performance of the parts.

Condition: Good used condition. The item has light general wear from use. The unit has appropriate cosmetic wear for age unless otherwise noted. There may be light scuffs or scratches or other imperfections as a result of this being a used part.

Item Photo Requests

We have too many items in stock to photograph every one before we put it up for sale but we will be happy to try and take a photo of the item you are interested in. Our normal business hours are Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM Eastern Time and we will try to fill photo requests as quickly as possible during normal business hours. If your request is made at night we will work on it the next day or on Monday if your request is made over the weekend. 

Location: If part locations on the vehicle are noted in the listing they are as if you were sitting in the drivers seat. Example: Left is drivers side. Right is passenger side. Front is towards the engine. Rear is towards the trunk, hatch, or bed.

About this part
You are bidding on an engine that will fit the vehicles listed in the Fit / Interchange section.  Our engines come with a 30 day parts only warranty. This is a part replacement warranty only. Installation and labor costs are not covered, so if the part fails, we will send a replacement part provided all warranty requirements are met (see below for warranty requirements). Please read the "Notes" section above for details about this exact engine. Engines are sold as a long block only and do not include any accessories or the transmission. Meaning-all engines are sold WITH OUT the Starter, Alternator, Power Steering Pump, Turbo, Supercharger, AC Compressor, Plastic Engine Covers , Wiring harness, Coil Pack, Distributor, Throttle Body, and Main Computer. All other components included are considered convenience items and are not covered by our warranty. 

Almost all engines will include Intake Manifolds, Exhaust Manifolds, Fuel Injectors, Fuel Rails, Wiring Harness, and Sensors.  These items are NOT Guaranteed to be included nor are they covered under our warranty. You should expect to use your existing Intake Manifold(s), Exhaust Manifold(s), Sensors, and Wiring Harness to eliminate complications when installing the engine. 

Warranty Requirements:
-Replace engine oil to manufacturer’s suggested level
-Replace oil filter
-Flush oil coolers
-Flush and inspect cooling system (including radiator)
-Install new spark plugs
-Install new belts and hoses
 

Fit / Interchange / Using eBay Compatibility and Fitment

Automotive recyclers have a system of interchange, and it is NOT the same as eBay's compatibility system. What this means is we know which parts from one vehicle will fit other vehicles to a finer level of detail then eBay's Compatibility can provide. This list of recycler provided interchange is below, and eBay's is available above on this page. Please read the notes at the end of this section, it is a list of the requirements for this part to fit your vehicle. Keep in mind that interchanging parts may require you to strip the part to its most basic assembly and reuse your accessories from your bad part assembly.
