1958 Pontiac 348 or 370ci v8 out of a gmc truck - this is based on the casting numbers on the heads (528511) one year only. Intake manifold is proper as well - casting number (528577)seen in the pics. Got this engine, opened it up and saw some grooves in some of the cyl walls, some water in 2 cyl, lots of oil inside. No clue what the bottom end looks like. It's more of a project than I need right now. Maybe a home can clean it up but probably take 0.010" off and be fine? Engine lacks carb, valve covers, and accessories. There's an alternator/generator available, as well as exhaust manifolds, radiator fan, distributor, oil pan. 

Transmission I believe is a 3 speed. I haven't opened it or even really looked twice at it since my main focus was the engine. Trans is available for purchase as well
