used parts.  Shipping fees will be paid by the customer for all refund and warranty items.  If our part fails or is defective during the provided warranty 
period we will gladly replace it for you.  Simply return the item at your cost and we will ship you a replacement at our cost.  Please call to alert us of 
an incoming return so we can handle this for you in a timely manner.

 

Included in the price of every Cousineau Auto Parts purchase is our No Hassle 6 Month Warranty. At our discretion, we replace or provide 
a refund for any defective part to the original purchaser.

Subject to the limitations below, Cousineau Auto Parts expressly warrants to the original purchaser for 6 months from the date of purchase 
against the failure of the part as specifically described on the invoice accompanying such a part to defects in the part. ANY IMPLIED 
WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED 
BY LAW AND TO THE TIME PERIOD COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. The foregoing is the only, sole and exclusive remedy under the 
terms of this warranty.

EXCLUSIONS

  1. Incidental or consequential damages including but not limited to damage to or the cost of related parts, loss of income, travel expenses, loss 
    of transportation, towing fees, rental vehicles or diagnostics are not covered by this warranty.
  2. Parts installed in vehicles used for fleet or commercial purposes and vehicles that are raced or used off-road are not covered by this warranty.
  3. This warranty does not cover damage or failure arising directly or indirectly from improper installation (not in accordance with the original 
    equipment manufacturers specifications) or related vehicle problems, misuse, maintenance, neglect, abuse, overheating, vandalism, abnormal
    operation, environmental conditions, accident or any damage which was apparent and not reported at the time of delivery.

GENERAL LIMITATIONS

  1. This warranty is extended only to the purchaser and is not transferable. You must be able to provide an original receipt in your name for the 
    warranty claim to be considered.
  2. Any repairs not authorized by Cousineau Auto Parts will void the warranty.
  3. We reserve the right to have the part inspected to insure that all pertinent provisions of the warranty have been met prior to any replacement,
    repair or refund.
  4. This part may have accessories that are attached and must be switched or removed to accommodate proper installation, which is the
    responsibility of the installer. Such accessories are not covered by this warranty.
  5. THIS WARRANTY IS NULL AND VOID IF:
    1. Failures are cause by non-covered components, improper installation, failure to clear computer codes, defective workmanship,
      usage for which the part was not intended and /or improper maintenance (e.g. using the incorrect types and levels of fluids and 
      lubricants as specified by the vehicle manufacturer).
    2. Product is installed in an application for which the vehicle manufacturer did not intend it.
    3. Failure is caused by towing a trailer or other vehicle unless your vehicle is equipped for this purpose as recommended by the vehicle
      manufacturer.
    4. Product is installed or operated outside of the United States.
    5. Failure is caused by or related to collision, fire, theft, vandalism, riot, explosion, lightning or any other act of God.
    6. Failure is caused by neglect, abuse, misuse, racing or modifications.
    7. There is evidence that the vehicle was continually operated after a failure occurred.

SPECIFIC LIMITATIONS FOR REAR AXLES 

Warranty is limited to the case and internally lubricated components. Accessories such as switches, solenoids, sensors, brake backing plates, brake 
shoes or discs, rotors, cables, hoses, tubing, etc ... are not covered under the warranty. Accessories and attached parts that may or may not be 
included with the axle assembly are not covered by the warranty and should be swapped or replaced at the time of installation.

INSTALLATION GUIDELINES FOR WARRANTY VALIDATION

To validate the warranty on this part, installation must be completed within 30 days of purchase and the work indicated below must be performed
and documented at time of installation.  If the part fails and you find it necessary to initiate a warranty claim, you will be required to provide
documentation showing a record of the installation date, mileage, VIN, work performed and maintenance records.

  1. Replace seals and cover gaskets.
  2. Fill fluids to the proper levels using the proper fluid type in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's guidelines (including applicable TSB's).
  3. ALL tires on the vehicle must be the same size, brand, make, model and tread depth.
Shipping

This item is shipped as freight with an LTL carrier.  The shipping price listed is for delivery to a commercial address in 48 states that has a dock or
forklift for unloading. 

Cousineau Auto, Inc ships only to US addresses. Larger parts such as engines, transmissions, and axles will be shipped via freight carriers ONLY to verifiable commercial addresses with a semi loading dock, at a cost of $175. Commercial addresses that require liftgate services will cost an additional $100. Residential addresses will be quoted individually based on location and accessibility. Customers with residential addresses may arrange pick up at a local terminal for the same cost as a standard freight shipment ($175).

Items will be shipped within 1-2 days of purchase.

Core Charge. Core is an acronym for ‘Cash On Return’. A core charge is sometimes applied to rebuildable parts such as engines or alternators that can be redeemed for a portion of their original price. If the part you are purchasing has a core charge applied, it will be noted in the description.

 

Parts Grading. A standard code system is used to communicate the condition and quality of a part between automotive recyclers, automotive repair shops, and insurers. Knowing how these codes are used will help you understand whether the part meets your expectations before you buy it and what you can expect from the part when you receive it.

 

 

A Grade - The highest quality part. It is of low miles and/or exceptional condition for its age.
B Grade - The second level quality part. It is of average miles and normal condition for its age.
C Grade - The third level quality part. It has high miles and/or light damage.
No Grade - A part that has not yet been graded.
