If 1st Class postage is an option for this item, and YOU choose it, there is NO insurance for free like there is with Priority Mail. So, there is free insurance with Priority Mail ONLY . If YOU choose 1st Class mail to save a few dollars, then YOU take the risks of loss or damage if there is no insurance to cover it. Sure Priority Mail costs more but since it is the buyers choice, know that you get more (like free insurance!!!). Common sense really, thank you.
