This is a used MGB GT Tailgate Stay Assembly—believed to be the left  hand side.

Removed from one of my MGB parts cars many years ago.

The spring tension is excellent.

The chrome plating on the spring die-cast outside “cover” has lifted and is somewhat crumbled. (See Photos)

The chromed bar sections are good. No twist. Straight.
