I have a 2006 Rubicon, the only thing this programmer would allow me to do was install 2 or 3 different tunes. At the time of purchase I was wanting to use it to adjust my speedometer for larger tires. The Superchips website listed this as a feature. They did not however specify it as being a feature only available for the JK.

Since my purchase and return of this item, it appears that Superchips has added some additional details to the feature list clearly pointing out what features are for which models/years of Jeeps. Would have saved me time if this was done earlier. here is the updated description not listed on Amazon I believe.

I am using this on my 2012 Wrangler Sport Unlimited which is otherwise stock. Like anyone else considering using this programmer as a tuner, I was looking for a little bump in power and MPG.

It is really easy to use, boots quick and tuning is a relatively quick process. I've driven my jeep for about 300 miles after installing. The results to far are what I was expecting, a little snappier throttle response and about 2 extra MPG, so it should pay for itself in a year or two. Overall I'm pretty happy with it.

The only issues I have with it are I wish the Ignition updater app had some more features/functionality. I guess it does what it's suppose to do...looks for updates, updates, then exits. But I would have liked a little more...browse or configure the tunes on the device, transfer stats and engine code history, etc. I'm a nerd.

The other issue is that the Octance 87 Performance tune wasn't an option for my vehicle. I installed the 87 Octane (Non-performance) tune instead, which still shows an improvement like I mentioned, but how much better can it be with the Performance version? 87 Octane is already the recommended fuel for the 2012 JKU.
