Update: Due to lower operating costs, I've been able to decrease the price to just $25 to make it more affordable to fix your car! I try hard to get your car back up and running fast! Similar to a string of Christmas tree lights: If one of your modules inside you car's hybrid battery pack is weak or bad the whole pack will perform poorly and may result in OBDII codes or the dreaded red "triangle of death". Once this happens, your car will refuse to go any further! Believe me, this happened to my wife's car on the way to the store! I've educated myself to rebuild these modules, by following blogs of others who have successfully rebuilt their hybrid traction battery and saved lots of $$! Complete replacement how to instructions can be obtained on the internet. (Be sure to observe all safety precautions! High voltage can be lethal) I have several rebuilt individual modules available for you to purchase. And more coming, hot off the chargers! These have been load tested and 'balance charged' prior to sale. The balance charging process insure that each of the six 1.2V cell inside the module is preforming to full capacity and 'balanced' along with the others. Each module has been placed on a HiTec X4 computer controlled MiMh battery conditioner/charger (pictured but not included in auction). The process is as follows: Each module is first discharged at a rate of 0.7 Amps until the module reaches 6 volts. It is then it is charged at a constant current of 5.5 Amps until it reaches maximum peak capacity of 7250 mAh. This process takes several hours and is repeated at least three times to insure all individual cells within the module are balanced equally. All modules need to be under compression while under this procedure is done or swelling can result. I've heard from several people who have purchased battery modules here on ebay from other vendors who have sold them based on voltage alone. The first time a load is placed on a questionable module the voltage drops off significantly indicating a bad module, but it will still read 7 to 8 volts with no load! The true test of the module is in the amp hour discharge capacity, which is within spec on each module I sell. Each module reads appropriately 7.8v +-.2 v before shipping, but more importantly passes the capacity test!
