Like the machine itself, Akrapovic's exhaust system for the Yamaha rocket is designed for racing-oriented riders. It deliver significantly increased performance as well as the visual enhancement Akrapovic hexagonal muffler, which fits beautifully with the aggressive lines of the R6. Much lighter than stock, it will also improve handling as there is as much mass to push around.

PERFORMANCE

Power & Torque: The output difference between the OEM exhaust and the Akrapovic exhaust is stunning. At 15000 RPM , this pipe puts out an incredible 121.1 HP. At 8600 RPM (the heart of the midrange) this system puts out 5 more horsepower than stock. The systemï¾’s effect on the torque curve is similar to the power curve. The main increase starts at around 6500 RPM and continues right into the over-rev range. This means more grunt out of corners and faster top speed.

CONFIGURATION

The Evolution system is composed of conical header tubes, conical collectors and a conical link pipe made from titanium. The tubes are attached to each other with sleeve joints secured with silicon-shielded springs. The muffler is a hexagonal design, with a titanium inlet cap and perforated inner sleeve. The outer sleeve and outlet cap are made from carbon fiber. It is attached to the bike using an Akrapovic carbon fiber clamp. The systems are also equipped with interference crossover tubes between the two collectors. The system also comes with attachments for mounting a lambda sensor.
