Akrapovic exhaust systems with modern hexagonal mufflers look great on the RM-Z. Since these systems are designed for riders who expect maximum performance from their exhaust systems, the visual enhancement is matched by the performance increase. An additional chamber near the exhaust port is integrated as it helps to reduce noise emission and provides better power and torque at low RPM range. This exhaust does NOT include a spark arrestor.

PERFORMANCE

Power & Torque: The system is an excellent match with the Suzuki engine. It offers increased power and torque throughout the entire RPM range. At 11830 RPM Akrapovic measured 35.1 HP, and maximum power over stock was increased by 2.8 HP at 6580 RPM.

CONFIGURATION

The exhaust is composed of a conical header tube with additional chamber and is attached to a conical link pipe with a sleeve joint, which is secured with a silicon-shielded spring. These entire system uses titanium tubes. The link pipe is welded to the muffler. The muffler itself is of the hexagonal design and comprised of titanium throughout: inlet cap, perforated inner sleeve and outer sleeve. A beautiful molded carbon fiber endcap tops off the muffler. The muffler is attached to the frame using an Akrapovic offroad carbon fiber clamp. A carbon fiber heat shield is included
