The XDR Off-Road® Magnum Grip "Hill Killer" gated shifter for 2013-2018 Can-Am Maverick 1000R (non-turbo) and 2013-2020 Commander 800 and 1000 2Dr (not Max.) The Magnum Grip shift handle features CNC billet aluminum construction, ergonomic design for a modern aggressive style and is black anodized for durability and good looks. Other features include replaceable midnight black polycarbonate side grip plates with diamond texture for sure grip in all weather conditions, a spring-loaded stainless steel reluctor for positive engagement while shifting gears and the gate plate is constructed of heavy 10-gauge 304S stainless steel for durability and long life. The "Hill-Killer" gate plate was designed to be used as a safety device when attempting steep hill climbs. This is done by eliminating the reverse lockout feature of the ratchet gate plate, ensuring quick shifts from forward to reverse gear in an attempt to save the front end from going over backward when climbing steep hills. The shifter also includes a security feature that allows a standard padlock to be installed to prevent unwanted use of the vehicle. Includes all necessary hardware and easy to follow installation instructions. Be sure to check out all the colors and finishes of side grip plates available for the Magnum Grip shifters to customize your Can-Am's interior. Warning: It is Not recommended to intentionally and/or repeatedly go from a forward gear to a reverse gear while moving for fear of personal safety, and to avoid potentially damaging drivetrain components of your vehicle.;
