This is an original late 1964-1970 Muncie 4 Speed tailhousing assembly. The casting number is 3857584. The 3857584 tailhousing has the passenger side speedometer cable connection and was used on many 1964-1970 Muncie 4 speed applicaitons. Please confirm your specific application.

This tailhousing is in good condition overall. It is in bare aluminum finish with no paints or coatings and scattered grease/grime as shown. It is does not appear to have been sand or glass bead blasted and has an awesome as cast finish. This housing does have a past weld repair as shown which has been successfully used since the repair was done. This weld coulfd be contoured to make it less noticeable or used as is. All threads are in good condition with no helicoils or thread inserts. This is simply good usable original part that can be installed as it is.
