I purchased and parted-out a complete 1993 Taurus SHO back in 2008, this 3.2L engine/ATX trans came out of it. Engine ran fine at the time but the seller informed me the ATX went bad (slipping when hot), although I never experienced it since I only drove it cold and at low speed forwards/backwards when moving it around the property.
