This is new old stock.  Has some imperfections in the plating.  Be sure to zoom in on the pictures.  38" axle, 1" diameter, 1/4" keyway.  On each end there is two inches where the diameter steps down to 3/4".  Of that two inches, 1 3/8" is threaded 3/4-16.  So that means your overall length is 38", but 34" is how much of it is 1" diameter.
