Solar / Turbomach MEP 404B /  T62T-32  Turbine engine as removed from a 60 KW military ground power unit, only "41 hours" total run time since new.

The MEP 404B is a updated variant of the original T62T-32, It was designed to operate the same 60 KW ground power unit as the original T62T-32 with additional surge capabilities in order to start modern turbine fighter jets with additional spool up duration.

Turbine is as removed from GP generator set complete with starter/fuel pump / ignitor/ governor. this engine has been operated on the same speed control as the original T62T-32. This turbine is not sold with the electronic governor, generic unit can be purchased online.

Output shaft RPM is 6,000. Can be applied to any EXPERIMENTAL aircraft / helicopter requiring a turbine engine of approximately 150  hp, operates on jet A, kerosene or diesel.

60 kW genset requires a minimum of 120 hp or 2HP per hp @ 1.0 SF. .. a 1.25 service factor is required for all military gen sets thus requiring an additional 20 KW × 2 hp required surge factor thus equaling an additional 40 hp.. total peak output of  150 to 160 HP.
